Harmony in the discord

People often describe me as “grounded.”

I like the sound of that—especially because, for many years, I worked as a business analyst on the 59th floor of a landmark building in midtown Manhattan. I think of that time spent hovering in the skyline and then I think of the immense gratitude that emerges whenever I have bare feet on the ground…

Back then, I’d ride the subway in flats and then change into the high heels I kept in my desk drawer for the workday. I think the oscillating heights of my daily footwear perhaps mirrored the highs and lows of my life during that time period.

There were moments of great pride and achievement mixed with a lot of frustration and a latent inner knowing that something felt “off.”

It took many years of inner work, spiritual exploration, and energetic rebalancing to finally create space for an unshakable groundedness to emerge.

If you’re reading this, you likely have noticed that a whole lot feels “off” in the world right now.

This outer manifestation of turmoil and chaos is, in some ways, an amplified reflection of the inner discord that many of us feel within.

And, even though it feels painful, I think this kind of tumultuousness has the potential to birth a great awakening.

So how do we create space for harmony to emerge within ourselves and throughout the world?

It’s actually so simple.

But it takes a bit of courage to start…

It begins with you.

As you find harmony within yourself, that frequency will radiate outward sending a balancing vibration to your loved ones, your community, the global collective, and beyond.

Working on yourself is not selfish.

Rather, working on yourself just might help save the world.
